I am always so thrilled to share weddings by talented local vendors, and today I get to do just that. Kristin and Cody’s lovely barn wedding comes to us from Cat Dossett, located right here in Eugene, Oregon. I worked with Cat on a unique woodsy styled shoot that was featured on Stye Me Pretty this past spring, and I could tell from the get go that she was one talented lady.

buying options Kristin and Cody were married at Postlewait’s Country Weddings in Canby, Oregon on a stormy spring day. Postlewait’s has an incredible indoor space that worked perfectly for both the ceremony and the reception, without having to do too much switching around. Read on for more details from Cat herself, and enjoy the beautiful images!

binäre optionen broker paypal “Kristin and Cody didn’t let the rain damper their day and embraced it in typical Oregon fashion. It made their rustic wedding even more cozy and romantic with the barn decorated in lights and a gorgeous chandelier.

optionavigator com I thought it was great that they kept it more traditional and Cody’s first look was Kristin floating down the stairwell in her dress. We were able to sneak outside for just a few moments after their I do’s and the stormy skies created some amazing passionate backdrops and the wind lifted her train in stunning swirls.

One of the best things about being a wedding planner and running a wedding blog is having the opportunity to share the work of super talented people who I get to call colleagues + friends. Today’s gorgeous wedding, captured right here in the Willamette Valley by Gaby of Gabriela Ines Photography, is the perfect example.

Gaby and I first worked together on a lovely peach + gold styled shoot a couple of summers ago that was featured on Le Magnifique. I had a blast working with Gaby, she is such a sweetheart and she’s so talented at what she does. I always love seeing her photos pop up on my news feed, and I was super excited when she submitted Joey and Brinnan’s wedding to me!

Joey and Brinnan were married at the Northern Lights Christmas Tree Farm in Pleasant Hill, Oregon on a perfect August day. Their wedding was filled with colorful flowers, lots of pretty light, and some incredible pink and gold cakes by Soft Peaks Cakery (and of course lots of love!).

Those cakes I was talking about? Yea… they were definitely show stoppers! Shelly with Soft Peaks Cakery did an incredible job. I have worked with Shelly a couple of times and not only do her cakes look gorgeous, but they are soo tasty as well.

This time of year always makes me long for the coast! Even though it’s only an hour away, it’s always a special treat getting to spend the day at the ocean, with the sand between my toes. I think we will probably be heading for the coast to celebrate our three year anniversary in June, so I guess I can wait a couple of months. :)

Anywho, I haven’t posted many beach/coast weddings on the blog, let alone Oregon ones. The Oregon coast is an absolutely gorgeous place to start your lives together, and there are so many fabulous locations to choose from. Cannon Beach is a super popular choice, as well as the Heceta Head Lighthouse in Yachats. Enjoy these beautiful photos from beach weddings all over the Oregon coast! Okay seriously…. does this photo take your breath away or what!?

So, who wants to get married at the Coast now?? Or maybe have your honeymoon there? :)

Enjoy your Monday, friends!

Good morning, friends! I am on cloud nine this morning, as I am currently watching the snow fall outside our living room window…. and when it comes to snow, I am such a little kid. I LOVE it. And this is the first real snow we’ve seen this year so I’m pretty ecstatic. It’s about time the snow comes to the Pacific Northwest!

Anyways, today’s gorgeous wedding was captured by one of my favorite Pacific Northwest photographers, Mr. Erich of Erich Mcvey Photography. Kristin and Bryan’s July wedding is overflowing with so much genuine love and joy, and it’s truly uplifting just to be able look at these photos and witness their love. Kristin and Bryan were married at The Ranch on Beaver Creek in Lebanon, Oregon, which provided the perfect natural setting for their simple, rustic wedding.

From the bride, Kristin:

We wanted it to be inviting, warm and rustic at the same time. Simplicity was the key and bringing nature and textures together was the goal! The source of this inspiration was simply nature itself and to incorporate things that were meaningful to us.

Read on for all sorts of details from the bride! And to see even more photos from the big day, check out Erich’s blog.

The party favors were daisy seed packets; we used little manila envelopes and stamped on wildflowers, and a saying that read, “Flowers are the poetry of nature.” Daisies are my favorite flower, they were incorporated as the main flower so it was only fitting to spread the beauty to the guests with seeds of their own to bring a little color and happiness to their yards and lives!

The Ranch on Beaver Creek is a very intimate and quiet setting that is rustic and “country” so it was exactly what we were going for. There is a darling creek that runs behind the venue, and the immaculate landscape plays up the colors and beauty that nature has to offer.

It rained. Ha ha! Not what we were expecting in the middle of July and we had some last minute things to pull together to ensure a dry reception but of course it came together perfectly! Everyone was a little freaked out at how calm and optimistic Kristin was about the unexpected weather conditions!

I think the most amazing part of the day was how the “weather” cooperated. It stopped raining just before the ceremony, a few huge rain drops came down right before Kristin walked down the aisle which got the crowd a little uneasy, but as soon as she stepped out it stopped. It held out through the ceremony and as Bryan and Kristin were pronounced “husband and wife” the grey clouds parted and the sun shined down on them. This made for a very emotional moment for every single person witnessing. This day was perfection and an absolute gift from God.

Mike Campbell, a very integral person in our lives who is an amazingly talented log furniture maker, made the log arbor as a wedding gift, which we stood by as we exchanged vows and entered into this covenant with God.

Pinecones collected from across Oregon were sprinkled around the centerpieces to add another personal touch.

Chocolate candy kisses were sprinkled on every table as they were Nana’s favorite. The menus and programs were designed and printed by Kristin as well. Twine, raffia and mason jars were the staples of the decoration and each centerpiece arrangement sat on log rounds cut from the families property.

The cake topper was a “Willow Tree” figurine, which Kristin collects, so it will always have a place in her special collection and represent a precious memory.

Our first dance was to “More Than Everything”, by Rhett Akins. Bryan was the one who chose this song for us to dance to, the lyrics were perfect as it basically talks about how God is in control of everything in this universe and “He made me for you, and you for me; and that’s more than everything”. It spoke to us and made for a perfect and amazing first dance together.

Here is the story of how Kristin and Bryan became Kristin & Bryan… it’s so touching! Do read.

We met in college, dated for a few months and then took a little “break”. Kristin’s grandmother got sick a few months later and when she went to visit her at the hospital, she asked Kristin to tell Bryan hello for her (knowing well that Kristin was back together with her old boyfriend whom was not as favored as Bryan). Feeling the pressure and emotion surrounding the situation, she had to call Bryan after 4 months of not talking to relay Nana’s message to him.  It was very late when Kristin left the hospital and called Bryan. He answered and Kristin simply forwarded the message, letting him know that Nana was sick. Bryan asked if Kristin was okay, and she abruptly said, “yes” and they got off the phone.

Two days went by and Nana was released from the hospital; when Kristin was headed out to the farm to visit her, it moved on her heart to call Bryan again. He answered and she told him she was going to see Nana; Bryan just so happened to be scouting for geese in the exact area. They decided they would meet at the local “refueling station” off the old back country road to see each other, since it had been a few months, and talk about everything that was going on… it just seemed right. When they pulled in, they were the only one’s there. It didn’t take but a split second of seeing each other that their hearts were changed forever. Kristin started crying as they walked towards each other and hugs were exchanged. Bryan asked, “Are you crying because of Nana, or because of me?” Kristin replied… “both”. The rest is history, there was no doubt in their minds that their hearts were connected and they could not deny they were meant to share this life together.

Congratulations, Kristin and Bryan! What a stunning wedding and an amazing testament to love. And a huge thank you to Erich McVey for sharing these phenomenal photos with us!

Have a wonderful day and enjoy the snow if you have it!
