In June of 2010, The Barr Mansion & Artisan Ballroom in Austin, Texas was struck by lightening, leaving the ballroom with irreparable damage from the fire that ensued.
Instead of letting the fire get the best of them, the owners decided to take it as an opportunity to create an even bigger and better venue. The outcome is absolutely phenomenal and I have to say the Barr Mansion & Artisan Ballroom is one of the most gorgeous and unique wedding venues I have seen. I also want to point out that the Barr Mansion is the nation’s first and only certified organic event facility. I think that is super neat!
Emily and Flint’s wedding was held during the first month that the Barr Mansion was back in business, and everyone was so excited to celebrate in the beautiful new space. Their talented photographer, Cory Ryan, described their wedding as a “classic but modern affair,” combining Emily’s impeccable taste with Flint’s design skills.
Enjoy the photos and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Such a gorgeous building! Absolutely picture perfect.

I love the turquoise ceiling!

Okay seriously… how beautiful is this place? Say hello the new Artisan Ballroom:

The front side of the building is covered in windows… so perfect!

How crazy beautiful is their cake!?

A cheesecake as the groom’s cake? Yes, please.

Love the luminaries that lined the walkway…

So stunning. This venue is so elegant and classy but also has a rustic charm to it.

Now here is something you don’t see every day — a so-called “Broom Dance”– a family tradition where the brothers of the groom have to dance with the brooms. Ha! I bet that was a hilarious sight! :)

Many thanks to Cory of Cory Ryan Photography for sharing this gorgeous wedding with us. Make sure to check out her website to see more of her fab work!
