Suzanne & Chris’ Sweet Willamette Valley Wedding

In case you haven’t noticed yet, I love nothing more than featuring local weddings! Today’s wedding comes to us from Erika Nicole Photography, a super talented wedding and boudoir photographer located right here in Eugene. I have been following her blog for a while now and I just love her work! I was so excited when she shared Suzanne and Chris’ wedding with me because of all the bright colors and their adorable pup. Suzanne and Chris were married at the Inn at Diamond Woods in Monroe, Oregon on a gorgeous September day. Here is a little background info, from the bride herself:

“Chris and I met almost 13 years ago at Elmira High School – yes, high school sweethearts. We did break up twice over the years, so we have actually been together for about 10 years total.

We chose Diamond Woods for a couple of reasons. Chris’ first job was on the grounds crew there, after they first opened the golf course. We used to go out there years ago, after he worked there, and play golf. Then a few years ago, when they built the inn, there was an article in the newspaper about it. I read it and pretty much decided then that that was where I wanted to get married. So it was the one and only place that we visited when we chose our location!”

Erika said of Suzanne and Chris’ big day: “Suzanne glowed in the fall light while anxiously awaiting to see her groom and start the rest of their lives together. Chris busied himself with the last minute wedding details downstairs to stave off the nerves. When I asked Chris if he was excited to finally be marrying his best friend, his smile said it all… LOVE. Big love. The kind you see in movies.”
