Kristy & Ted’s Vintage Drive-In Engagement Shoot
I have always wanted to go to a drive-in theatre, but have never lived anywhere near one, and unfortunately there are so few left these days. I think the closest one to me is about an hour and a half away, but after seeing this shoot I’ve decided to make it happen this summer! I absolutely love this shoot and the vintage 50s vibe that Kristy and Ted so perfectly portrayed.
Kristy is a photographer herself, and she came up with this super fun idea for the shoot. Kristy’s sister-in-law did her fabulous hair and make-up, and her mom even made her adorable dress. They were able to borrow the classic car from Kristy’s brother, and the West Wind Drive-In in Sacramento provided the perfect backdrop. Kim of KimJMartin Photography captured the lovely couple, and you can see even more photos on her blog.
Enjoy!

Love the shoot and especially the coke reference!! My husband has been with the company for 11 years and we are die hard Coke fans.
Adorable and such a fun idea!
I LOVE this…it’s retro fabulous! It’s so sweet how it was such a family affair too. I’ve never been to a drive in either but have always wanted to go since seeing Grease {might need to pay a visit to the USA!} x
I love the idea of a drive in engagement shoot. Sadly this is something we can’t do here in the UK
Love this shoot and I might feature some of these pictures as part of my latest blog post! Love love love them :)
